Desk Officer

About the role

Amentum is recruiting Desk Officers to support a client's operational requirements across several locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Desk Officers apply advanced knowledge of operations, operational tradecraft and intelligence priorities to give strategic guidance and manage operational cases, and act as the link between field personnel and the Intelligence Community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and operational case management
• Manage programs throughout the customer, from traditional operations to specialized initiatives
• Review ongoing and potential operations objectively
• Communicate with customer managers at all levels and with field personnel

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and pass a polygraph at the time of application
• Prior experience supporting intelligence operations or familiarity with the Intelligence Community
• Regional or functional expertise in a geographic area of interest

Required skills

• Familiarity with cable writing and classified databases, including targeting tools
• Strong briefing and writing skills
• Ability to work well with teams or alone with minimal supervision
