Design Manager – Construction

Join a team that’s building more than projects. Erickson‑Hall Construction Co., a nationally recognized top workplace, is seeking a Design Manager to lead design‑build projects, manage the design process, and deliver efficient, economical solutions that meet client and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire design team from concept through construction documents, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction, Estimating and other departments to deliver pre‑construction services.
• Review and approve construction and shop drawings from design partners and subcontractors.
• Generate and manage subcontractor contractual language related to design.
• Initiate design reviews to optimize constructability, detect risks and apply lean techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering or design project management, including construction administration.
• Proven ability to interpret owner compliance documents and lead cost‑competitive designs.
• Experience with collaborative contract models such as Design‑Build, IPD or Alliance preferred.
