Design Integrator for Military Construction Projects

About the role

The Design Integrator coordinates multidisciplinary design integration for Military Construction (MILCON) projects, acting as the primary link between project teams, government stakeholders, and remote subject matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate design integration reviews across architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, telecommunications, geotechnical, environmental and other disciplines.
• Lead design review meetings, workshops and technical coordination sessions, tracking comments and ensuring resolution.
• Maintain review logs, action item trackers, meeting minutes and integration records.
• Support quality assurance/quality control, value engineering, risk management and constructability reviews.
• Assist with proposal development, lessons‑learned initiatives and construction‑phase design coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in design, engineering or construction management.
• At least 3 years supporting federal or MILCON projects.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and obtain required security clearances.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary building design and construction practices.
• Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), DoD standards and military facility requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience using design management platforms, document control systems and collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and design coordination software.
