Design Engineer

About the role

Remilia is seeking a Design Engineer to own the full UX/UI vision and rapidly prototype concepts in code. You will shape product look and feel, creating interfaces in Figma and building functional prototypes for frontend engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Own UX/UI design for new features and products end‑to‑end.
• Build interactive prototypes that communicate intent beyond static mocks.
• Define and evolve our design system and component language.
• Partner with engineers to hand off specs and refine implementation details.
• Explore experimental interfaces and push the boundaries of social apps.
• Maintain a high visual quality bar from concept through shipped product.

Required profile

• 4+ years blending UX/UI design with frontend prototyping.
• Strong design sensibility and visual taste.
• Expertise in Figma and UX systems thinking, interaction design, prototyping.
• Solid React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills for building proof‑of‑concepts.
• Experience designing for social, consumer, or culturally‑driven products.
• Portfolio demonstrating original, forward‑thinking design work and functional prototypes.
