Design Engineer

About the role

VOSS Automotive is seeking a Design Engineer to join its Engineering Department at the North American headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. You will create engineered solutions for automotive fluid and suspension lines, collaborating with global teams and supporting prototype development.

Key responsibilities

• Design engineered solutions for customer applications following best‑practice guidelines.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings that meet technical standards and material specifications.
• Define and analyze test results to verify functional capability.
• Collaborate with project teams, including German colleagues, and coordinate engineering activities.
• Prepare, build, and optimise lines for prototypes and test vehicles.
• Interface with customers to capture product specifications.
• Support Development Engineers with drafting and engineering tasks.
• Follow Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems, and assist VOSS Automotive Mexico when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Design or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience or training.
• Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
