Design Director - Senior Interior Designer, Luxury Residential

About the role

A well-established luxury residential design firm is looking for a well-connected, entrepreneurial interior design leader to launch and lead a new West Palm Beach studio. The ideal candidate has built a reputation in the local design community, knows the local market and understands the trades and resources needed for projects, and is ready to take the next step into studio leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Launch and lead the West Palm Beach studio, helping shape its culture, operations and long-term growth.
• Use an established network to generate new opportunities and build trust with high-net-worth homeowners.
• Build a local network of builders, general contractors, architects, consultants, showrooms, artisans, installers and specialty vendors.
• Guide luxury residential projects from concept through installation, keeping design quality and client service high.
• Lead design concepts, material and finish selections, furniture and lighting specifications, presentations and project documentation.
• Help identify and attract designers and other professionals as the studio grows.
• Work with firm leadership and the wider team to share resources, maintain standards and support business growth.
• Help grow the project pipeline, manage client expectations and contribute to the office's profitability.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong background in high-end residential interiors.
• NCIDQ certification required.
• Currently based in West Palm Beach or the immediate surrounding area, with established local industry relationships.
• Experience leading projects and guiding other designers, ideally as a Lead Designer or Senior Interior Designer.
• Strong design sensibility, business development instincts and leadership skills with an interest in building a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Houzz and Google Workspace.
• Thorough understanding of the local luxury residential market, materials, furnishings, finishes and trade partners.

What we offer

• Base salary of $150,000-$160,000.
• Uncapped profit sharing of 5% of the office's earnings.
