Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinator (DOSIC)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinator (DOSIC) to support the NIWC SWFTS Submarine Modernization Program in Groton, Connecticut, in support of ongoing contract efforts. The position is contingent on identifying a candidate whose expertise matches the program's needs, at which point a funded role will be formally opened. Key responsibilities

• Conduct deck plate audits and surveillances and document findings
• Develop Liaison Action Records (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS) documents
• Prepare SHIPALT / ECI Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and tags
• Manage project schedules and track planned versus actual progress
• Identify problems and weak areas with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) and interpret drawing issues
• Work with the AIT to ensure deck plate work sequencing is properly executed
• Provide written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
• Attend LMA meetings, planning and hotwash events, and prepare trip and weekly status reports and technical reports

Required profile

• Active Secret US Government security clearance (US citizenship required); the position is hourly and overtime-eligible under the Service Contract Act
• High school diploma/GED and 10 years of practical experience, or a degree/electronics training plus 6 years of practical experience
• Ability to travel, anticipated minimum 30%
• Experience with work controls, schedule management, progress tracking, drawing issue identification, and reporting to the OSIC

Desired qualifications

• Submarine combat systems modernization, WAF and tagout generation, and modernization work controls experience
• Experience developing LARs and DFS documents
