Deputy Division Director

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Deputy Division Director to support the Licensure & Self‑Insurance Division. This senior leadership position assists the Division Director in shaping policy, overseeing operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance for self‑insured businesses and insurance carriers across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Division Director in developing and implementing division policies, strategic goals, and operational initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate division staff, ensuring accurate and efficient work.
• Act as secondary liaison to self‑insured employers, insurance carriers, TPAs, industry representatives, and government agencies.
• Review applications, filings, and reports from insurance companies and self‑insured employers for compliance.
• Collaborate with the Georgia Self‑Insurers Guaranty Trust Fund and other stakeholders on regulatory matters.
• Provide technical assistance and subject‑matter expertise to internal and external partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insurance regulation, licensure, or related governmental functions.
• Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory frameworks.
