Deployment Manager (Global Mission Operations Support)

About the role

CACI is seeking a Senior-level Deployment Manager for the Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) contract supporting the U.S. Department of State. The GMOS contract provides world-class IT support by modernizing and maintaining applications and infrastructure using an integrated IT Service Management approach. The role leads physical deployment and installation of hardware and software upgrades across worldwide consular facilities, with up to 10% local travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead successful, efficient and timely execution of physical deployment and installation of hardware and software upgrades across all worldwide consular facilities.
• Provide trip schedules for Government approval, adhering to the ten-day advance requirement and coordinating deviations with the COR or GTM.
• Coordinate logistics with shipping and receiving, deployment and training across multiple simultaneous deployments.
• Deliver deployment tracking reports for post self-installs and installation team activities, and update installation and upgrade schedules weekly.
• Provide temporary specialized teams (Tiger teams) for special projects and surges in deployment support, and develop project plans and schedules for special projects.
• Act as a technical expert across multiple assignments and lead major technical assignments, possibly supervising others.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, enterprise-scale IT deployments, installations, upgrades or technology refreshes across multiple locations.
• Experience developing and managing integrated deployment plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional deployment activities with technical teams, logistics, shipping and receiving, training and operations.
• Experience managing hardware and software deployments, including site readiness, implementation coordination, tracking and post-deployment activities.
• Ability to identify and mitigate deployment risks, resolve scheduling and logistical challenges and adapt strategies to changing requirements.
• Experience developing deployment metrics, status reports, dashboards and executive-level reporting.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with communication with senior program and Government stakeholders.
• Desired: prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of State.
