Department Manager

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Department Manager to lead a key area of our independent restaurant franchise. You will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient staffing and operations within your department.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned department (Guest Service, Kitchen, or People).
• Ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards at all times.
• Control food costs and manage inventory levels.
• Train and develop crew members on service, production, and safety procedures.
• Schedule staff to meet sales and profit targets.
• Set departmental goals, delegate tasks, and report results to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve performance targets.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
