About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Department Administrator, Clinical to lead administrative functions for the Department of Pathology. This on‑site position supports faculty, staff and physicians in delivering high‑quality clinical services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and reporting systems for department operations.
• Provide leadership for business strategy, financial analysis, productivity reporting and compliance with university policies.
• Guide managers in performance management, professional development and staff satisfaction initiatives.
• Oversee quality‑improvement processes and internal controls, ensuring training and adherence.
• Direct planning and strategic formation of clinical program goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
