About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist to join the team at Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah. Working under broad supervision, you will provide preventive oral health care to patients in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Clean teeth and perform oral examinations of the head, neck, and oral cavity.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Take and develop dental X‑rays.
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
• May serve as a lead worker supervising junior staff.

Required profile

• Associate degree in dental hygiene from an accredited institution.
• Current Georgia dental hygienist license.
• Two years of related experience, or one year at the Dental Hygienist 2 level or equivalent.
• Ability to meet state‑required evaluations, vaccinations, drug screening, TB test, and annual influenza vaccination.
• Successful completion of a national and state background check.
