Deli Team Member – Fresh Food Department

About the role

Join Meijer’s Fresh departments as a Deli Team Member, delivering friendly service and high‑quality food products to our community. You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment, helping customers find what they need while maintaining fresh, appealing displays.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers locate items
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Required profile

• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Ability to follow processes and safety standards
• Calm, focused approach in a fast‑paced environment
• Willingness to be physically active, including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
• Passion for working with customers every day; previous retail or food‑service experience is helpful but not required
