About the role

The Dean of the College of Business & Industry provides visionary leadership for a dynamic, mid-sized public university college. This senior academic position oversees all business and industry programs, guiding faculty, staff, and students toward excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans that advance the college’s mission and growth.
• Manage academic programs, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial stewardship for the college.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Build partnerships with industry, government, and community stakeholders to enhance experiential learning and research opportunities.
• Represent the college within university governance and external professional networks.

Required profile

• Terminal academic degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in a business‑related discipline.
• Extensive experience in higher‑education administration, preferably as a department chair or senior academic leader.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement and professional service.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, lead accreditation efforts, and drive institutional initiatives.
