Daytime Nurse Aide – Home Health Care

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking compassionate Certified Nurse Aides to provide daytime in‑home care for adults in the Asheville area. This position offers a stable, supportive environment with flexible scheduling and a focus on quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care created by a registered nurse.
• Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
• Assist with household tasks including light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
• Prepare meals, feed clients, and support range‑of‑motion exercises.
• Help clients ambulate safely, using mechanical lifting devices when needed.
• Offer medication reminders and companionship.

Required profile

• Passion for caregiving and a desire to help others.
• Commitment to being present and delivering quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
• Previous home health or patient care experience is welcome but not required; training will be provided.

Required skills

• Basic caregiving skills for activities of daily living.
• Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Knowledge of safe ambulation techniques and use of lifting devices.
