Database Managed Services Engineer III

About the role

The Database Managed Services Engineer III will lead PostgreSQL database administration for Human Services systems, ensuring availability, performance, and security across development, test, and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain PostgreSQL databases, handling user access, configuration, patching, and release support.
• Monitor database health, capacity, and performance; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Perform backup, recovery, disaster‑recovery, data‑integrity, and security‑administration tasks.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and client teams to plan changes, resolve issues, and document procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years supporting Child Support Enforcement systems.
• 4+ years PostgreSQL database administration experience in RDBMS environments.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
