Database Consultant – Neo4j Graph Specialist

About the role

The company is seeking a Database Consultant with deep expertise in Neo4j graph databases to join its Austin team. The role focuses on building and refining ontologies and delivering advanced analytics such as embeddings, clustering, and neighborhood detection using graph data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement graph data models and ontologies tailored to business needs.
• Develop and optimise Cypher (GQL) queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Apply graph‑based analytics techniques, including node embeddings, clustering, and community detection.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate Neo4j with existing SQL and Python pipelines.
• Document data models, analytical approaches, and best practices for future reuse.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering a project that leveraged Neo4j as a core component.
• Strong understanding of graph theory concepts and ability to define ontologies.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Cypher/GQL and its application to analytics.
• Ability to work independently in an onsite environment and communicate technical solutions clearly.
