Principal Data Analyst - Poker

About the role

Zynga Poker is looking for a Principal Data Analyst to lead data‑driven decision making for a game enjoyed by millions worldwide. You will partner with product, design and engineering teams to turn complex data into actionable insights that shape product strategy and player experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to improve revenue, retention and engagement through A/B testing, insights analysis and dashboard creation.
• Design, build and maintain ETL pipelines that consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring a single source of truth for analytics.
• Develop and refine fraud detection and bad‑actor models to protect game integrity.
• Contribute to Zynga’s AI initiative, applying LLMs and machine‑learning techniques to streamline analytics workflows.
• Create and maintain high‑visibility dashboards used by leadership and designers for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics); advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 6 years in product‑focused or gaming analytics.
• Proven ability to guide product teams through ambiguous data and complex decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
