Data Test Engineer

About the role

As a Data Test Engineer at Achieve, you will ensure the integrity of lending data micro‑services and daily data jobs that power our personal finance solutions. You will work closely with engineering and business teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality data for both application functionality and strategic reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Execute robust API and UI testing using tools such as RestAssured, Unirest, Cypress, Playwright or WebdriverIO.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to triage issues, improve test coverage, and drive best‑practice testing processes.
• Set up coding guidelines, test management workflows, and monitoring practices (e.g., Datadog) to increase team productivity.
• Maintain and evolve data pipelines, understanding architectures like Medallion and tools such as Airflow.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of software quality assurance experience on web applications, REST APIs or Salesforce.
• At least 2 years of programming experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot or Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• API testing frameworks: RestAssured, Unirest.
• JavaScript‑based UI automation: Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO.
• Test management tools: TestRail, JIRA.
• Monitoring: Datadog.
• Cloud platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Data tools: Advanced SQL, Airflow, DAGs, Medallion architecture.
