Data Specialist I

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Data Specialist I for a litigation support position. The role handles the intake, staging and loading of electronic discovery (ESI) productions into litigation support databases, with an hourly, overtime-eligible pay rate under the Service Contract Act.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify basic load files for litigation support databases and perform native file processing.
• Make copies of media such as thumb drives and discs using encryption software.
• Ensure accuracy of data loading, manipulation and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks.
• Ensure incoming productions meet applicable ESI specifications and notify senior contractor IT staff of deficiencies.
• Perform intake and staging of productions, including virus scanning and copying data to the appropriate network location.
• Convert files from native formats to TIF image format and help prepare files for loading.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials; US citizenship is required for MRPT at this location.
• Some experience with Relativity and Ipro or related software.
• Undergraduate degree preferred, preferably in communication science or information management/technology.

Required skills

• Relativity and Ipro (preferred)
• Text editors, file manipulation applications and knowledge of the government's IT environment (office automation networks, PCs and server-based applications) are a plus.
• Experience with computer hardware and automated litigation support is a plus.
