Data Scientist I – Research Engineer, Global Payment Solutions

About the role

Bank of America’s Global Payment Solutions (GPS) Data and AI team is seeking a Research Engineer to join as a Data Scientist I. You will translate complex data concepts into actionable, revenue‑driving insights and production‑level AI products for one of the world’s largest payment businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop statistical models, recommendation systems, stochastic optimization, and time‑series forecasting solutions.
• Build scalable machine‑learning pipelines and deploy algorithms directly into production environments.
• Collaborate with business teams to turn “think‑tank” ideas into tangible AI products, such as generative‑AI search platforms and advanced NLP analytics.
• Run large‑scale A/B tests to evaluate new methods and continuously improve model performance.
