Data Scientist I

About the role

As a Data Scientist I at HDR you will support data‑driven decision making across the organization. You will work with confidential data, collaborate with business stakeholders and build analytical products that turn raw information into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business decisions by identifying patterns and trends.
• Develop data products such as reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards.
• Follow software and data‑science development standards.
• Perform data acquisition, sourcing, cleaning and exploratory data analysis.
• Engineer features to transform raw data for machine‑learning models.
• Evaluate and deploy automated machine‑learning (AutoML) models.
• Use predictive models to optimize business outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented professional with strong multitasking ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Ability to handle confidential information and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong mathematical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
