Data Platform Operations Analyst

About the role

CGI is looking for a Data Platform Operations Analyst to join the Advantage Insight team. The role ensures the health, stability and performance of the enterprise data integration platform, covering ingestion, streaming, transformation and reporting. The analyst works closely with engineering and operations to resolve production issues and maintain data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor IAP alerts and operational dashboards; triage connector availability, consumer lag, pod‑down events and Snowflake task failures.
• Execute Debezium connector restarts, redeploys and Kafka offset resets for Oracle LogMiner, PostgreSQL and SQL Server sources.
• Recreate stale Snowflake streams and resume associated tasks to ensure pipeline continuity.
• Coordinate planned source‑database activities such as bounces, refreshes, blue‑green switchovers and package upgrades.
• Maintain and refresh Power BI semantic models and reports; troubleshoot dataset refresh and gateway issues.
• Log and track CAPS and engineering tickets in Jira, providing full diagnostics and supporting incident closure.
• Contribute improvements and lessons learned to runbooks and operational documentation.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in enterprise data integration, data operations or production support environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka Connect, source connectors, Schema Registry, topic offsets and consumer‑lag diagnostics.
• Ability to work onsite at CGI’s Lafayette, LA office.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex data platforms.
