Data Center Operations Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to ensure high availability and stable operation of its AI/HPC cluster infrastructure. The role involves hands‑on work with servers, networking, and storage systems in a fast‑paced data‑center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data‑center infrastructure to guarantee service uptime.
• Perform installation, rack‑and‑stack, cabling, commissioning, and troubleshooting of AI/HPC clusters, including NVIDIA B300, GPU servers, x86 servers, storage servers, Ethernet and InfiniBand switches, DAC, AOC, and optical‑fiber cabling.
• Monitor health of servers, GPUs, storage, and networking devices; conduct hardware replacement, BIOS/BMC/firmware upgrades, and diagnostics.
• Support server provisioning, OS installation, cluster expansion, network validation, and burn‑in testing.
• Execute routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate operational logs.
• Respond to incidents, follow escalation procedures, and prepare shift handover reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, and infrastructure teams for new deployments and continuous improvement.
• Participate in a three‑shift rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, IT, or related field.

Required skills

• Understanding of data‑center infrastructure and server hardware architecture.
• Experience with NVIDIA B300 clusters, GPU servers, x86 servers, and storage servers.
• Knowledge of Ethernet and InfiniBand switching, DAC, AOC, and optical‑fiber cabling.
• Proficiency in BIOS, BMC, and firmware upgrades, hardware diagnostics, and OS installation.
• Ability to perform network validation, burn‑in testing, and monitoring of cluster health.
