Data Center Asset Management Engineer

About the role

LinkedIn is looking for a Data Center Asset Management Engineer to join its Richardson, TX data center team. The role is fully onsite and focuses on the end‑to‑end governance of physical infrastructure assets, ensuring they are received, tracked, deployed, serviced and retired in line with operational and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day asset lifecycle tasks such as receiving, inventory management, asset tracking, break‑fix support and decommissioning.
• Maintain data integrity across asset management systems and related documentation.
• Follow standard operating procedures and controls to support audit readiness.
• Identify and promptly escalate discrepancies or issues with appropriate context.
• Coordinate with site teams, logistics partners and vendors to complete assigned tasks within defined SLAs.
• Participate in site‑level activities including inventory counts, audits and hardware movements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
• Task‑level ownership with a focus on operational accuracy.
• Effective communication skills to work with Operations, Engineering, Asset Managers and external vendors.
• Willingness to develop foundational knowledge of data‑center operations, asset controls and compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with asset lifecycle management in a data‑center environment.
• Familiarity with inventory control and tracking procedures.
• Understanding of data‑center operational and financial compliance.
