Data, Analytics & Cloud Engineering Consultant

About the role

Kenway Consulting is seeking a Data, Analytics & Cloud Engineering Consultant to act as a trusted advisor for clients. In this early‑career consulting role you will build solutions on modern cloud data platforms and analyze data to help clients make better decisions. You will work closely with senior engineers and architects to grow into a well‑rounded, client‑facing advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, performant, and cost‑effective data pipelines, notebooks, and data products (including Power BI reports) on modern cloud data platforms.
• Analyze data to investigate problems, identify root causes, and clearly communicate findings.
• Write clean, well‑structured Python and SQL to move, model, transform, and analyze data.
• Apply software‑delivery discipline to data assets – version control, testing, and CI/CD‑based deployment across environments.
• Take ownership of defined technical tasks and deliver them with increasing independence.
• Support proposals, demos, and collateral used in business development pursuits.

• Microsoft Azure (storage, compute, Synapse, OneLake)
• Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric
• Python
• SQL (including performance tuning)
• Power BI
• CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• dbt
• ELT/ETL processes, batch and real‑time data pipelines
• Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse concepts
• Agile tools such as JIRA
