Data Analyst – Hybrid (NYC) – Fintech

About the role

This hands‑on Data Analyst position sits at the intersection of on‑premise infrastructure and AWS cloud within a fast‑moving fintech organization. You will translate business questions into actionable insights, build dashboards, and help the business become more data‑driven.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and clarify requirements from sales, marketing, and support teams.
• Write complex SQL queries (joins, CTEs, window functions) against Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI or Jaspersoft.
• Deliver one‑off data extracts in Excel and create reusable reporting solutions.
• Contribute to the automation of data pipelines and the evolution toward a self‑service data platform.
• Leverage AI and NLP tools (e.g., Claude) as part of the roadmap.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a data analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a results‑driven environment.
• Interest in financial services or capital markets is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL (advanced querying, CTEs, window functions).
• Experience with relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS services, especially QuickSight.
• Proficiency in at least one BI/reporting tool (Jaspersoft, Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight).
• Exposure to AI or NLP tools in a work context.
