Data Analyst – Business Management Team

About the role

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Business Management team. Working on a 9/80 schedule from the Idaho Falls EROB facility, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and support business operations through advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and visual storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Perform statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with business end‑users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Partner with development and data‑management teams to capture data from internal and external sources.
• Create and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad‑hoc data reviews.
• Generate dashboards, reports, and presentations using data‑visualization tools to communicate trends and patterns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related field with at least 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify complex problems and develop logical solutions.
• Experience in data science, data analysis, and visualization, preferably using Power BI.

Required skills

• Data‑analysis techniques such as A/B testing, association‑rule learning, cluster analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency with visualization software: Domo, Power BI, Tableau.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
• Experience with TeamMate+ for risk assessment and issue tracking.
