Cybersecurity Analyst – Defense Sector

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join its Doral, FL team. You will help protect critical defense networks by monitoring threats, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise networks, SIEM platforms and defensive sensors to detect cyber threats.
• Execute vulnerability scans, analyze security logs and coordinate remediation across operational systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams and leadership to maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and report findings to operational leadership.
• Maintain system security baselines, documentation and configuration‑management controls for physical and virtual assets.
• Perform routine compliance audits, STIG assessments and security validation checks.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance defensive capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or related field with 5+ years of experience (or equivalent education/experience combinations).
• Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, vulnerability assessment, security monitoring and incident investigation.
• Strong background with RMF, NIST SP 800‑53 controls and DoD STIG implementation.
• Ability to create and communicate complex technical documentation and compliance reports.
