About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking a Cyber/IT Risk Supervising Examiner to strengthen supervision of banks and financial market utilities in the Second District. This position focuses on assessing and mitigating cyber and IT risks that could affect the safety and soundness of supervised institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain deep knowledge of firms’ strategies, risk profiles, governance, risk management, and control functions through monitoring, analysis, and examinations.
- Contribute to the development of supervisory priorities and plans to assess core risks.
- Develop and present examination findings and analytical results to a range of stakeholders and supervised institutions.
- Collaborate with Bank, Federal Reserve System, and inter‑agency partners to formulate supervisory responses to emerging risks.
- Identify and address emerging cyber and IT risks within supervised entities.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of banking supervision and the broader financial system.
- Experience analyzing capital, governance, liquidity, and operational resiliency risks.
- Ability to work onsite while leveraging flexible work arrangements as needed.
