Cyber Security Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a remote Cyber Security Specialist to support the evaluation of AI models focused on security tasks. This part‑time, flexible contract position involves reviewing model outputs, creating realistic cyber‑security scenarios, and providing structured feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess model‑generated outputs for threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, incident triage, and security architecture recommendations.
• Develop incident‑response runbooks, threat‑hunting queries, penetration‑testing reports, and SOC analyst decision trees for model evaluation.
• Annotate, label, and validate data across use cases such as CVE classification, attack‑vector identification, SIEM alert triage, and malware‑behavior analysis.
• Provide structured feedback on model accuracy against frameworks like NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and STIX/TAXII.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for cybersecurity‑focused LLMs.

Required profile

• Strong experience in enterprise, MSSP, consultancy, or government/defense cybersecurity environments.
• Proven expertise in one or more domains: SOC analysis, DFIR, penetration testing, red‑team operations, threat intelligence, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), zero‑trust architecture, or GRC (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP).
• Demonstrated ability to translate security workflows into structured, annotation‑ready tasks.
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills.
• Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC, Security+) are a plus.
