Security Manager, Americas

About the role

The Security Manager, Americas supports Valvoline Global Operations’ enterprise‑wide security programs across the United States, Canada and South America. Reporting to the Director of Global Security, the role provides hands‑on operational support, conducts risk assessments, and contributes to incident response and threat monitoring in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day security operations in line with the global security strategy.
• Monitor regional security alerts and geo‑political events for potential impact.
• Oversee the regional badging system and coordinate employee access with HR and IT.
• Collaborate with security technicians, real estate, site stakeholders and vendors on physical security measures (CCTV, access control, alarm systems).
• Coordinate off‑duty security services and increased security measures as needed.
• Support tabletop drills, training and implementation of security policies and protocols.
• Manage and document security incidents, conduct preliminary investigations with Legal, HR and IT, and maintain confidential records.
• Conduct site risk assessments, recommend corrective actions and perform executive‑protection advances.
• Plan security for large events and manage travel security awareness and protocols.
• Gather, analyze and disseminate threat intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
• Act as liaison to regional security counterparts in EMEA and APAC and partner with Facilities, HR and IT Security.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in corporate security operations and incident management.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with HR, Legal, IT and regional security teams.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive investigations.
