Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

This hybrid position in Houston, TX, is for a seasoned Cyber Security Engineer who will own and drive the organization’s security strategy. You will translate business goals into robust security processes, manage multi‑layered technologies, and safeguard critical data and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage firewalls, CASB, IPS, WAF, DLP/EDR, MFA, SIEM, and vulnerability tools across on‑premise and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Support and implement baseline security configurations for IT, OT, IoT, cloud, operating systems, networking, encryption, data security, and IAM.
• Participate in security assessments, threat‑modeling exercises, and monitor event logs to mitigate risk.
• Provide timely security reporting to management and collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and HR.
• Maintain and monitor the corporate cybersecurity training program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in a dedicated security role.
• Proven ability to lead security initiatives and mentor staff.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
