Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT team. The analyst will protect our information systems, data and networks from cyber threats, implement security solutions and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to detailed customer security questionnaires during software onboarding.
• Implement, maintain and optimise cybersecurity tools and infrastructure.
• Perform regular system audits, vulnerability assessments and network security reviews.
• Develop and enforce security protocols, procedures and incident response processes.
• Document security configurations, procedures and incident reports.
• Investigate security incidents, provide remediation and report findings.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams on encryption, backup and data‑protection strategies.
• Conduct employee security awareness training.
• Manage user access and authentication controls.
• Lead weekly security team meetings and follow‑up on action items.
• Assist with disaster‑recovery planning and testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar security‑focused role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of data‑privacy laws and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS).

Required skills

• Anti‑virus and SIEM platforms.
• Network monitoring and encryption technologies.
• Cloud security for AWS and Azure.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS.
• Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection.
• Vulnerability scanning and security automation/scripting.
• Risk‑management frameworks (NIST, FAIR) and standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
