Cyber Range Engineer / Infrastructure Lead

About the role

Global InfoTek is seeking a Cyber Range Engineer / Infrastructure Lead to design, deploy, and manage sophisticated virtualized and physical cyber‑physical range environments for the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. You will drive network orchestration, automated scenario generation, and closed‑loop provisioning to support urban cyber‑warfare simulations, ICS/SCADA evaluation, and joint offensive/defensive exercises.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex virtualized cyber‑range environments using VMware ESXi/vSphere, KVM, and OpenStack.
• Lead network orchestration and Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudInit.
• Develop automated scenario generation tools and traffic replication scripts for realistic cyber‑range exercises.
• Integrate cyber‑physical assets such as ICS/SCADA, IoT, and building automation into the range.
• Support DoD and National Guard cyber exercises, including RF/telecommunications emulation and tactical data link testing.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in virtualized range design and network architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or equivalent operational experience.
• Active Secret clearance minimum; Top Secret/SCI preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Required skills

• VMware ESXi/vSphere, KVM, OpenStack virtualization platforms.
• Terraform, Ansible, CloudInit for IaC.
• Software‑Defined Networking (SDN), VLAN segmentation, routing protocols.
• Scenario generation and traffic replication scripting.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II/III certifications (Security+, CySA+, CISSP) or cloud/virtualization certifications (VCP, CKA).
