Cyber Operator

About the role

The Cyber Operator will support daily vulnerability management workflows for a major client engagement. Working remotely, you will partner with senior analysts and client stakeholders to monitor, triage, and coordinate remediation of emerging security vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute vulnerability management processes in line with established timelines and standards.
• Monitor security advisories, vendor bulletins, threat feeds, and open‑source intelligence to identify new CVE activity.
• Review scanner output, determine asset ownership using CMDB data, and document vulnerability applicability.
• Create and manage remediation tickets in enterprise ITSM platforms, tracking status, escalations, and evidence validation.
• Maintain accurate records in the vulnerability management platform and assist with data‑quality reviews.
• Produce clear, audience‑calibrated written deliverables such as leadership readouts, remediation updates, and post‑validation summaries, often within same‑day turnaround for high‑severity events.
• Own recurring reporting cadences, including weekly remediation tracker updates.

• Strong interest in building foundational expertise in vulnerability management and cybersecurity operations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior analysts and client teams.
• Excellent written communication skills for translating technical findings into audit‑ready documentation.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on operational discipline and accurate record‑keeping.
