Cyber Fraud Analyst – Entry Level

About the role

Join Staples' Digital Solutions team as a Cyber Fraud Analyst I, where you will help protect the company’s digital assets by monitoring and analyzing data for fraudulent activity. This entry‑level position offers exposure to cybersecurity operations and occasional evening or weekend rotations to support continuous fraud monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Review security alerts and investigate suspicious transactions and behavioral patterns.
• Analyze transaction data using Excel and other fraud analysis tools.
• Escalate potential fraud incidents to senior team members and assist with incident response.
• Collaborate with the broader cybersecurity team to improve detection techniques.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in cybersecurity, fraud analysis, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with basic cybersecurity principles and fraud detection techniques.
• BA/BS degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Microsoft PowerPoint for presenting findings.
• Hands‑on experience with fraud analysis tools or software.
