Customer Site Service Representative I – Automotive Coatings

About the role

BASF’s Coatings division is seeking a Customer Site Service Representative I to provide on‑site technical support for automotive assembly plants. You will act as the primary technical liaison, ensuring BASF products meet performance specifications and helping customers solve application challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operation of BASF automotive coatings at customer assembly plants.
• Provide on‑site expertise in product performance, color management, and defect identification.
• Enforce product quality specifications and assist with new product or application development.
• Collaborate with BASF sales and technical teams to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and act as a mentor to junior team members.

Required profile

• Technical background in coatings, chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience working in an automotive assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑focused mindset.
