Customer Service Representative – Hospital Front Desk

About the role

The Customer Service Representative at UHealth, the University of Miami health system, is the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors entering the hospital lobby. This full‑time, onsite role creates a welcoming atmosphere, issues identification badges, and assists with directions, parking validation, and any immediate needs while safeguarding privacy and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Issue ID badges for patients, families, and visitors and create online profiles for Fast Pass processing.
• Provide directions, assist with parking validation, and support wheelchair transportation when required.
• Verify appointments in EPIC to confirm parking eligibility.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies.
• Act as a reference point for visitors, answering questions and escorting them as needed.
• Collaborate with Public Safety to manage access restrictions for flagged individuals.
• Keep the work area clean, professional, and compliant with health‑safety standards.
• Cover weekend and evening shifts on a rotating schedule.
