Customer Service Coordinator (Full Time)

About the role

Join American Airlines as a Customer Service Coordinator and be the friendly face that assists passengers and cargo clients at the airport. You will work in a dynamic environment, helping travelers enjoy safe and smooth journeys while representing the airline’s high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell air travel services to passengers and freight forwarders.
• Assist with passenger check‑in, cargo acceptance, and aircraft dispatch within scheduled times.
• Interpret government regulations for domestic and international travel and shipments.
• Provide support to distressed passengers and protect company property and revenue.
• Operate air stairs and perform passenger operation control functions, including air‑to‑ground communication.
• Lead or direct other employees when required and respond to security or emergency situations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English; bilingual ability may be required in some locations.
• Valid driver’s license where applicable.
• Pass FAA criminal background checks and obtain necessary security badges.
• Ability to work irregular, extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
