Customer Service Clerk

About the role

The Customer Service Clerk welcomes and assists guests in a retail environment, ensuring a friendly atmosphere and accurate transaction handling. This role involves providing product information, addressing inquiries, and supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every guest, delivering outstanding service.
• Provide product information, answer questions, and direct customers to appropriate staff.
• Record customer requests and forward them to management.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, handle payments, and make change.
• Inform customers about sales, promotions, and upcoming events.
• Maintain product knowledge, merchandising displays, and store housekeeping.
• Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving, replenishing, and monitoring floor stock.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and report needs to the manager.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss‑prevention guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift items over 50 lb throughout the shift.
• Strong verbal communication and basic math skills.
• Willingness to work full‑time or part‑time, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to adhering to safety and OSHA standards.
