CT Technologist (Night Shift)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time CT Technologist on the night shift in Tavares, Florida. The position involves performing CT scans, educating patients and keeping accurate records. A $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment and a $5,000 relocation bonus (eligible applicants only) are offered.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educate patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, minimizing empty table time.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors and monitors, and adapt protocols for patients of all ages.
• Perform high-quality CT examinations according to provider orders and departmental protocols, reviewing patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when needed, while maintaining radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Perform waived and non-waived point-of-care testing as required, with documented proof of competency.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Registered Technologist - Radiography (RT(R)) with ARRT certification (required).
• ARRT-CT certification preferred; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of radiology experience and completion of a CT training program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Ability to work unsupervised at a technical level and to follow basic radiation safety concepts (time, distance, shielding).

Required skills

• Knowledge of CT procedures and CT scanners.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic IV competency.
• Ability to analyze data, techniques, equipment operation and quality control.

The pay range is $28.97 to $53.88. The position is subject to a Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
