CT Scan Technologist – Level I

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Level I CT Scan Technologist to perform complex computed tomography procedures. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify CT scan orders, ensuring appropriateness and communicating discrepancies.
• Identify patient requirements, confirm identity, obtain consents, and provide education.
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment following radiation safety protocols and age‑appropriate standards.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including IV placement, contrast injection, and interventional CT tasks.
• Position patients accurately, use immobilization and protective equipment, and maintain aseptic technique.
• Evaluate technical quality of scans, label and transmit images to PACS, and charge procedures in UChart/Radiant.
• Dispense oral contrast, operate power injectors, and maintain accurate patient records.
