CT Scan Technologist – Full-Time

About the role

The CT Scan Technologist provides high‑quality computed tomography imaging services at the University of Miami Hospital Imaging Services. Working under the direction of a radiologist, the technologist ensures patient safety, accurate imaging, and compliance with infection‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and obtain consent before each procedure.
• Perform CT imaging studies, operating equipment and adjusting parameters according to radiologist preferences.
• Administer contrast agents, operate automatic injectors, and perform venipunctures safely.
• Assist the radiologist during examinations, providing necessary supplies and monitoring patient status.
• Maintain and decontaminate imaging equipment following established protocols.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities and adhere to safety, security, and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• ARRT registration (certification).
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant CT imaging experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional on‑call shifts.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and commitment to university core values.
