Credits and Incentives Manager

About the role

Ryan is hiring a Credits and Incentives Manager in Albuquerque to lead a team providing credits and incentives services to corporate clients. The manager identifies tax savings opportunities, formulates strategies for claiming credits and incentives, and completes related application and compliance filings. The role requires experience identifying and applying for state tax credits and knowledge of structuring transactions for negotiated incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive team member experience and directly supervise employees in the Credits and Incentives practice.
• Develop client work plans and schedules, prepare and present to clients and state and local agencies, and travel to client locations (25 to 50% independent travel).
• Research credit and incentive programs for client eligibility and respond to client inquiries and requests from federal and state agencies.
• Assist with client billing and financial forecasting, and manage complex state and local incentive projects.
• Prepare and review calculations of credit and incentive benefits, manage incentive compliance, and perform retroactive credit reviews, return amendments and prospective benefit analysis.
• Negotiate incentives with state and local agencies and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Four to six years of credits and incentives-related experience.
• Experience identifying and applying for state tax credits; knowledge of structuring transactions for negotiated incentives.
• Valid driver's license.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Internet navigation and research.
