Courier/Swing Driver (DOT-1)

About the role

Federal Express is seeking a reliable Courier/Swing Driver (DOT-1) to operate company vehicles and ensure timely, courteous delivery and pickup of packages across the assigned service area. The role requires strict adherence to FedEx service standards and federal motor carrier safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and collect packages on assigned routes.
• Verify shipments for compliance with FedEx service features.
• Provide customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain a neat appearance and professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age with a clean driving record.
• Minimum six months of courier experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
• Valid driver’s license meeting state requirements for the assigned vehicle type.
• Medical exam compliance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.

Required skills

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) as required by vehicle type.
• Knowledge of FMCSA safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading English traffic signs and communicating with safety officials.

• Full‑time schedule: 06:30 – 18:30, Monday‑Friday.
