Counterterrorism Analyst (Mid-Level)

About the role

Amentum provides warning and all-source analytical support to the Defense Combating Terrorism Office of the DIA, helping shape DoD policy, planning and operational decisions against regional and transnational terrorism. The analyst produces all-source intelligence products and briefings for senior defense officials and combatant commands, supports the TIDE watchlist and the POW/MIA cell, and works 24/7/365 on first shift (8 hours per day).

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data, information and intelligence to produce finished all-source intelligence products and briefings for senior officials and CCMDs, in line with ODNI and DIA analytical standards.
• Produce strategic and operational analysis of transnational terrorist networks and activities, including CBRN threats, and coordinate products across DIA and with other IC partners.
• Work with collectors through all phases of the intelligence cycle, using SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT and HUMINT data to identify terrorist networks and key actors.
• Support DoD field collectors, special operations and TDY support to partner nations, and contribute to contingency and crisis planning.
• Respond to customer requests orally and in writing at strategic, operational and tactical levels, and take part in meetings, conferences and working groups.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; minimum 5 years of experience, with preferred 8 years and a portion in the last 2 years.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably security or intelligence studies with a focus on terrorism or transnational security threats.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Understanding of the 200 series of ODNI ICDs (203, 206, 208) and ability to write formal assessments and briefings to those standards.

Required skills

• Use of research databases such as the Global Terrorism Database and quantifiable matrices.
• Knowledge of intelligence collection disciplines, collection management cycles and source vetting.

Compensation is listed as $100,000-$110,000. The employer is a drug-free workplace and employment is contingent on passing a drug screen.
