Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will join the Wine & Spirits Division of Constellation Brands, supporting accurate cost reporting and financial close in a fast‑paced environment. Reporting to the finance team, this role ensures the general ledger reflects true product costs in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely cost accounting reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Analyze inventory and COGS trends, delivering actionable insights to improve profitability.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance partners to drive cost efficiencies and support strategic initiatives.
• Execute month‑end close procedures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Maintain a strong control environment and support the preparation of consolidated financial statements.

Required profile

• Experience performing cost accounting functions within a manufacturing or beverage environment.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and month‑end close processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑moving setting.
• Strong analytical mindset and effective cross‑functional collaboration skills.
