Corporate Events Planner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Events Planner to lead the strategy, planning and execution of Applied Materials’ global event portfolio, including internal conferences, executive briefings, customer summits and industry trade shows.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end planning and execution of corporate events such as major trade shows, technical conferences and strategy sessions.
• Develop and manage event budgets, timelines and vendor contracts to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Partner with Marketing, Communications and Executive teams to align event strategy with business goals and product roadmaps.
• Negotiate contracts with venues, AV providers and other vendors, and manage external agencies.
• Oversee registration platforms, attendee communications and post‑event reporting using Cvent.
• Manage risk, compliance and safety considerations for on‑site events, including badge security and export control awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of corporate event management experience, including at least 3 years managing large‑scale conferences.
• Strong vendor and contract negotiation skills and proven project‑management ability under tight deadlines.
• Experience using Cvent for event registration and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work directly with C‑suite executives.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
