Corporate Counsel (Employment Law)

About the role

Talkdesk is looking for a United States‑based Employment Lawyer to join its growing legal team. The Corporate Counsel will provide strategic advice on hiring, performance management, termination, wage and hour, disability accommodation, privacy, and other employment matters across all geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliant employment practices and understand regional legal requirements.
• Draft, maintain, and update employment‑related policies, including ethics, anti‑corruption, and anti‑harassment.
• Support HR with operational guidance, process training, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor and interpret labor law developments affecting Talkdesk globally.
• Manage litigation, oversee employee form agreements, and supervise outside counsel.
• Provide training and liaison with local counsel in various jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Law degree and active license to practice in California or Washington State.
• Minimum 5 years of law‑firm or in‑house experience, with demonstrated international employment law expertise.
• Strong written and presentation abilities, excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
